This is one of Detroit’s more unique holiday celebrations - a pub crawl through Corktown, Midtown and Downtown with (last year) over 2,000 people dressed as Santas, Elves, and all sorts of other Christmas holiday costumes.

The celebration starts at the Gaelic League Irish-American Club located on Michigan Avenue near Slow’s BBQ on Michigan Avenue in Corktown. From the Gaelic League a fleet of rented buses await to take you to the 12+ different pubs, restaurants, and locations along the way. Stay at any pub or location as long as you like and move on as well anytime you like.

This is not a traditional Christmas/Holiday celebration – it is cutting edge, somewhat irreverent and overall a celebration of Detroit ...and Downtown....with people dressed in Santa gear.
Holiday costumes are mandatory this event (easy enough - buy one at Party City for $40!).

For those who are adventurous and love the 'D, mark this on your calendar – it is a lot of fun.

The ‘D, filled with energy and holiday spirit. Happy Holidays!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Regrettably Corktown has experienced a number of car break-ins over the past year - basically smash the glass and grab what's inside. Friendly and smart advice - DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR WHEN YOU PARK!. Do not have packages in your car - do not have/leave gym bags, etc. in your car. In short if someone is looking in your car - they should see nothing to take - if they do see something - they just might break your glass to take it!
