JOIN D4 AT THE
RAISE DETROIT WITH GOOD JOBS
PRESS CONFERENCE & RALLY

Your presence is NEEDED!

On Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00 am, D4 and partner SEIU Local 1 will be having a press conference & rally in support of the Raise Detroit with Good Jobs Campaign and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Justice for Janitors. The press conference and rally will take place in front of Cadillac Tower, 65 Cadillac Square, Detroit, MI 48226.  Please come out and stand with our allies to highlight the condition of working families in Detroit amidst the shadows of the glimmering downtown skyline.

Detroit is the focus of this year's Justice for Janitors campaign.  With the resurgence of Downtown and Midtown leaving many working families outside the arc of prosperity, the Raise Detroit with Good Jobs campaign is stressing that it isn't only about getting raises for janitors but it is about raising the WHOLE of the Detroit community.

Those who work for a living should be able to make a living. Workers cannot be left out of Detroit's redevelopment. Hard-working people -- including janitors who work in Detroit -- should not earn so little that they qualify for government assistance, (including reduced-price school lunches and public housing)  while large corporations are being subsidized by taxpayers while reaping astronomical profits.

Detroit may be known as the poorest large city in America but we are not bereft of SPIRIT and compassion.  So PLEASE stand with D4 and SEIU Local 1 onWednesday June 17th at 10:00 am in front of Cadillac Tower and let the world know that we will not allow working families to be left behind in the city's redevelopment. If you can, please let us know you will be attending.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE !!!
