| Dear Neighbor, As my first term as your state senator ends, I wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to serve and thank you for staying engaged with the work we do. It has been a tremendous honor to work with residents across Detroit and Downriver, and your input has helped me serve our community the best I can. | Stephanie Chang State Senator District 1 LEGISLATIVE ENDINGS AND BEGINNINGS Last week, we concluded our work for the 101st Legislature. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to some colleagues and exciting to welcome others who will begin serving in the Senate in January. Beginning January 1, 2023, I will be the state senator for Senate District 3, which includes part of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. I will truly miss serving some of my current communities, but I won’t be far away. I welcome the opportunity to get to know others in the parts of Senate District 3 that will be new to me. My office and I are still available to help you however you may need, though, so please do not hesitate to reach out. You can view the new maps here. |
