Mayor Duggan takes part in the grand opening of the Corktown Apothecary 

Mayor Mike Duggan joined owners Ali and Tamara Khocheiche for the grand opening of their new business, the Corktown Apothecary. 

When Tiger Stadium left Corktown, it left a terrible void in the neighborhood. But over the past decade, that void has gradually been filled with new mixed-income housing, the new Police Athletic League field/headquarters and small businesses.

That resurgence has spread with new developments throughout Corktown and North Corktown. The Corktown Apothecary, located at 1444 Michigan Avenue, is the latest addition. Ali took his talents as a pharmacist and decided to follow his dream of opening his own small business.
