Back by popular demand, Wheelhouse Detroit and MotorCities National Heritage Area are once again offering monthly bike tours featuring the history of the automotive industry. "This tour is a gritty adventure on two wheels that reveals how Detroit pioneered mass production in a way that revolutionized manufacturing in America" said Nancy Darga, Managing Director, MotorCities National Heritage Area.
The bike tour starts at Wheelhouse Detroit on the Detroit River off Atwater Street. Tour guides are provided by MotorCities NHA. Full of fun, it is approximately 13 miles long on flat terrain. There is a stop at the historic Ford Piquette Plant with a short overview. Bike tours are from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. The cost is $25.00 ($35.00 with bike rental).
