Hello,

I'm contacting corktownconnection.org to see if you may know someone in the area who would be interested in a piece of Detroit history. My parents purchased a home in Dearborn Heights in 1967 with a full commercial bar in the basement. The bar was believed to be taken out of an establishment on Michigan Ave in the early 1960s to make way for the freeway.

My parents have passed away and my brother and I are in the process of selling the home. We can't leave the bar in the home. The new owners don't want it and it will be destroyed.

I will move the bar to my house if I have to but it would make more sense for someone to purchase it who could really use it.

I know that there are many new bars and restaurants going up in the Corktown area. If possible please pass on this email to someone you may know who would be interested in purchasing it.

The bar top and back bar are in excellent shape. The refrigeration units would need to be restored (New seals on the doors and the condensers would need to be hooked up). I can send photos on request.

Thank you.
