For those who have never been to Cinema Detroit, or haven't been to the Third Street space, CBS Detroit recently aired a video about us, that shows what it's like, though we have spruced up quite a bit since this was shot.

Last chances, Weds June 22 and Thurs June 23
Packed with thrilling music, Sound of Redemption: The Frank Morgan Story is a feature documentary about the gifted alto sax player and Charlie Parker protégée Frank Morgan. Morgan fell hard into heroin and spent 30 years in and out of prison, most of it at San Quentin, where he performed in a big band with fellow junkie jazz musicians that grew famous in the Bay Area. Their reunion, arranged by the film's director, forms the backbone of this riveting film. This presentation is made possible by Cinema Detroit member Steve Press. Thanks Steve! See below for final showtimes.

Wednesday and Thursday are also the last chances to catch Love & Friendship. Based on an early Jane Austen novella, Lady Susan, and taking its title from another early (but unrelated) Austen work, the film is still Certified Fresh at a rare 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. Final showtimes are below.

One night only
Metro Detroit filmmaker Daniel Falicki writes, directs, and stars as a natural born exorcist in Accidental Exorcist, screening once only on Thursday, June 23 at 9:45 p.m.

Thousands are submitted, only a few are chosen... We are pleased to again present the Sundance 2016 Shorts Tour, showcasing a wide variety of story and style, in a 95-minute theatrical program of eight short films selected from this year's Festival. Over the course of its more than 30-year history, Sundance has been widely considered the premier showcase for short films and the launchpad for many now-prominent independent filmmakers...don't miss the chance to see work from the next Wes Anderson or Todd Haynes. Check out the showtimes below.

Also starting Friday, June 24
Dark Horse is the inspirational true story of a group of friends in a former mining village in Wales who decide to take on the elite "sport of kings" and breed a racehorse. Raised in a small yard used to contain coal-mining waste, their foal grows into an unlikely champion, beating the finest thoroughbreds in the land, before suffering a near-fatal accident. Nursed back to health by the love of his owners - for whom he's become a source of inspiration and hope - he makes a remarkable recovery, returning to the track for a heart-stopping comeback. See showtimes below.

One night only
Join us and the Navin Field Ground Crew on Tuesday, June 28 at 7:15 p.m.as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mark "The Bird" Fidrych's signature game with a re-watch of his nationally-televised 5-1 win over the New York Yankees.
