It's the end of an era, friends, and you're all invited to join us for a final celebration of Navin Field, site of Detroit's historic Tiger Stadium.

Come play catch one last time with Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, friends and family. Come run the bases with the kids one final time where all the greats once roamed, from Ty Cobb and Shoeless Joe Jackson to Goose Goslin and Babe Ruth. From Charlie Gehringer and Hank Greenberg to Jackie Robinson and Yogi Berra. From George Kell and Al Kaline and to Mickey Lolich and Denny McLain. From Mark Fidrych and Willie Horton to Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell.

(And that's just from the world of baseball!)

After all these years, this field still matters.

So join us Saturday, April 2 (rain date Sunday, April 3) and again on Saturday, April 9for the final days of fun and games and great memories at Detroit's historic field of dreams. We'll have a ballgame at 2 p.m. and plenty of time for everyone to get their pictures taken on the mound.

And at dusk on April 9 (weather permitting), our Navin Field farewell film fest begins.

Join us at home plate for a screening of some classic ballgames at the Corner, including Game 5 of the '68 World Series and Mark "The Bird" Fidrych's 1976 classic against the New York Yankees on Monday Night Baseball.

We might even screen Jason Roche's award-winning documentary about the grounds crew, "Stealing Home."

So mark your calendars, friends. And come run with us in the grass one last time before it's long gone.
