District 6 Community Meeting -- Theme: Safety
Tuesday, June 30, 2015
6:00 p - 7:30 p
Central Christian Methodist Episcopal Church
7600 Tireman Ave.
Detroit, MI 48204

Dear District 6 residents,

A few weeks ago the administration announced a proposed land swap of one of our Detroit gems -- Riverside Park. This complicated deal is currently being discussed in Council Committees. While this deal could provide for more recreational opportunities, it could also lead to the construction of a second span of the Ambassador Bridge; which would certainly have environmental and health implications. The deal also raises questions about whether developers should be held to the same standards and expectations as residents.
The Detroit City Council Planning & Economic Development Committee will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed Riverside Park Land Exchange Agreement. This deal will have a significant impact on our community, District, and City.

Please plan to attend the upcoming Detroit City Council Public Hearing to be informed, ask questions and express your thoughts!
