MISSION
U.N.I.T.Y (Uniting Neighborhoods and Inspiring Today’s Youth) is an organization designed to develop neighborhoods, with the goal of implementing cohesion into the community. U.N.I.T.Y will play an instrumental part in assisting today’s youth with fulfilling their dreams and recognizing their talents.
PURPOSE
U.N.I.T.Y will inspire today’s youth with specialized programming and community service in their neighborhoods. U.N.I.T.Y will transform parks and use community service to generate the unity neighborhoods need or desire.
GOALS
Our yearly goal will be to make a difference in one new neighborhood. We will give deserving youth a scholarship to assist in their dreams becoming reality.
VISION
U.N.I.T.Y will inspire youth to become productive people as they follow their dreams. U.N.I.T.Y will provide opportunities for neighborhoods to generate cohesion and comradery that is desired in their community. Your support is always needed. It will take all of us to make Detroit a better place to live in and our youth better people to live with.
OUR STRATEGY
U.N.I.T.Y works with its partner schools to understand what keeps the students motivated while striving for excellence. U.N.I.T.Y allows the student to have an opportunity to voice their desire, ambitions, and dreams. U.N.I.T.Y takes that information, along with the schools goals, and generates programming that will assist in bringing out the best in each student.
U.N.I.T.Y will primarily adopt parks in the communities to unify neighborhoods. We will also talk with the people in the community, to gain a sense of what services are needed. U.N.I.T.Y will work with other organizations to achieve goals set. U.N.I.T.Y will maintain constant communication with the people in the community to ensure our commitment to unifying their neighborhood happens.
