Detroit Future City Home Base is on the Move 
 The Detroit Future City office will move from the Eastern Market HomeBase located on Russell Street in Eastern Market by August 1st. 

 

"The Eastern Market location served us well while we were developing the Strategic Framework plan, but we've decided it will be best to establish a new location that can accommodate our changing needs for the implementation of the Framework,' said Detroit Future City, director, Dan Kinkead..."MORE.

 

Detroiters Take Action with Arise Detroit! 

 
Detroit Future City is partnering with Arise Detroit! for the 7th Annual Neighborhoods Day this August. For the past 7 years Arise Detroit! has called residents to action to volunteer and improve the city,  and every year more and more Detroiters answer that call. DFC is proud to be a part of a citywide event that further proves that Detroit's greatest asset is its people.

Jefferson-Chalmers Unveils Neighborhood Stabilization Plan   
Public art and garden in Jefferson-Chalmers community 
 
A coalition of five community-based organizations on Saturday, July 29th unveiled a neighborhood stabilization plan to an audience of community leaders, residents and other stakeholders at the Lenox Center in Alfred Bush Ford Park. The planning process was two-years in the making and included representatives from Creekside Community Development Corporation, Hope Community Outreach and Development, Jefferson-Chalmers Citizens' District Council, Jefferson East business Association, and Southeast Waterfront Neighborhood Association. The process was facilitated by Detroit Future City partner Michigan Community Resources based on similar initiatives in MorningSide/East English Village, Grandmont Rosedale, and...MORE.
