We sent Rashida to Congress to be a fierce advocate for the residents of Michigan’s 13th Congressional District―among the poorest and most polluted districts in the country.
For years she's worked closely with local grassroots groups, and in less than two years in Washington, DC she’s also built alliances across our national progressive movement. Rashida’s an activist who understands that change starts in the streets—but we also need bold fighters like her in Congress to cement change through policy.
