Finally someone is starting to SAY NO to more pollution in #Detroit.
City of Detroit denied Waterfront Petro their request to operate a coke yard in southwest Detroit on west portion of the riverfront.
"David Bell, interim director of the city's Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department, said in a letter issuing the denial that allowing large piles of coke breeze on the site could be dangerous to the surrounding area and would be contrary to the city's master plan."
