The opportunity is a fully-funded Internship for a young person to help do the important work of your organization. Specifically, young people ages 14-24 who are Detroit residents can qualify for internships, doing work that you shape. The young people can be High School or College students, or out-of-school youth. The internship pays $15 per hour for 5 hours per week average, for up to 26 weeks. The Internship can begin as early as April, or it can be a summer 2022 internship.   If you want to create the Internship but don't already have a young person in mind, you can ask the program partners to match a young person to the Internship you create. This opportunity is made possible by a partnership created through Building the Engine/CDAD, and includes four Detroit community development organizations (C of C, Cody Rouge CAA, ECN and UNI); Detroit Employment Solutions Corp and the Skillman Foundation.    Call 313-841-4447 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. For the last 3 weekends, our office has been hitting doors across District 6, letting residents know of this forthcoming deadline: the last day to pay your taxes or to get on a payment plan with Wayne County is March 31st.  It is urgent that people facing eviction be aware of the options they have to remain securely in their home. Treasurer Eric Sabree has been hosting "Ask The Treasurer" meetings each Wednesday this month at 6:00PM on Zoom. Join using Meeting ID: 871 38196745 and password 090344.
