In the heart of southwest Detroit's Hubbard Richard and Corktown Neighborhoods, Roosevelt Park is most well-known as a green space next to the iconic Michigan Central Station.

The City is working to create a unified green space that the entire community can enjoy. Improvement to the park include a shared use path along 15th Street to accommodate for bicycles, as well as pedestrian.

Community engagement for the park began in the summer 2021, with an official kickoff event held August 28, 2021. Subsequent meetings were held virtually via Zoom on November 18, 2021 ad January 13, 2022.

The bid process is expected to begin in early Spring 2022 with construction to comment in the Summer.

Installation of the bike lanes will cost approximately $200,000. Full construction costs for Roosevelt Park are $4,000,000
