The Tour de Troit offers two rides to choose from:
MAIN: The primary Tour de Troit is a leisurely ride of 20+ miles with police escort; sweeper and SAG support; three mechanic "pit stops;" and one rest stop that includes a snack and mechanical support. The main ride will take off at 9 a.m.
METRIC: For extremely experienced cyclists, the Tour de Troit offers a metric century (62 miles) option that does not include police escort. Riders should be able to ride approx. 15MPH and be comfortable on city streets following the Rules of the Road. This ride is sweeper- and SAG-supported but intersections are not closed to traffic. The metric century ride is capped at 500. There are two rest stops for the metric century ride.

Where Does the Tour de Troit Money Go?
This year marks the 18th annual Tour de Troit event, where cyclists will enjoy the Motor City’s most memorable neighborhoods, sans motor.
The mission of Tour de Troit is to promote a lifestyle centered around health and wellness, through activities such as running and cycling. Tour de Troit has raised more than $400,000 to support non-motorized infrastructure in the Motor City since 2005.
The nonprofit group raises awareness of biking as a mode of transportation; publicizes the growing greenways network in the City of Detroit and all of Southeastern Michigan; and raises funds for greenway development in Detroit, including the Southwest Detroit Greenlink and the GREEN Taskforce Vision for Greenways on Detroit’s Lower Eastside. The organization hosts five additional events each year: Martin Luther King Memorial Ride, Paczki Run, Tour de Eastside, Rouge-A-thlon and Bike the Bridge.
