Wednesday, August 7th, doors open at 5pm. Tours leave promptly at 6pm! Reception to follow the tour!

Imagine a sustainable urban city who can feed itself. Detroit is in a unique position...wealthy in land and brimming with creative minds. Could we be on our way to becoming the next green city? Come meet the leaders who are working to feed their communities and re-purpose vacant land in their neighborhoods. Get inspired to join our mission of food sovereignty (meaning the people have the power over their food choices). We envision a city where every neighborhood has places to grow food and every resident has access to fresh produce. On this tour you can choose either a bus or bike route visiting gardens and hearing the stories of their success. A reception following the tour will feature farm fresh and seasonal produce curated by 7 local chefs! An array of vendors will be tabling before and after the tour.
