Powerful interests would be happy to let the story of the 2013 Major League Baseball drug scandal slip away, but the new documentary SCREWBALL makes it unforgettable. Director Billy Corben takes us into the surreal Miami underworld of "Doctor" Anthony Bosch, who provided performance-enhancing drugs to several MLB stars, including Alex Rodriguez and Manny Ramirez. And recognizing that adults in pursuit of youth can often act like children, Corben has cast kids in the doc's reenactments. The result is a fascinating and funny cautionary tale, and you don't need to like or even understand baseball to enjoy it.See showtimes below. In Climax, a troupe of young dancers gathers in a remote and empty school building to rehearse. Following an unforgettable opening performance lit by virtuoso cinematographer Benoît Debie (Spring Breakers; Enter the Void) and shot by Noé himself, the troupe begins an all-night celebration that turns nightmarish as the dancers discover they’ve been pounding cups of sangria laced with potent LSD.
