About the play
The House on Poe Street,
weaves science fiction, fantasy, and horror into this dark comedic tale about twins' plans to feminize the world. "Less men equals less violence."

Mendel Steingold, a real estate lawyer happily in the "one percent," addresses his investment club as he tells the tale of when he was handed the keys to the estate of a
renowned and controversial gene-editing scientist. Twin sisters with extraordinary talents for harmonizing, analyzing, theorizing and memorizing have inherited the house, reputed to have been where Poe wrote "The Raven." They want Mendel's help to use their powers for good and to make a difference in this world.
As Mendel, and his fiancée and friends are drawn into the twins' world and the house of Edgar Allan Poe, he begins to unravel, and his comfortable, masculine, life becomes threatened.
