Christmas is coming!

It's a very special time at Most Holy Trinity Parish as we are preparing to host our annual Children's Christmas Party. The late great Trinity pastor, Msgr. Clement Kern, started this tradition more than 50 years ago and it has grown to an event that serves more than 500 kids.

Every December, we provide a fun party that includes music and games and a visit from Santa. Each child receives a bag of gifts. For most of them, these will be the only Christmas gifts they receive. The joy on the kids’ faces is like nothing you’ve ever seen. The energy we get from those smiling, happy kids keeps us going all year.

It is no small feat to pull off this party, which will take place on December 8 at the Corktown IBEW Hall. We need 250 volunteers and the financial support of many generous donors. I am writing today to ask if you are willing to be one of our donors or volunteers.

This year, in order to improve the volunteer process, we are asking all volunteers to register online. Go to our website to learn more details about volunteering and to sign up. We would like volunteers to complete the Protecting God’s Children workshop; more information about that is also on the website. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up by November 19.

Donations can be made online by clicking here or you can send a check to the parish office.
