Dear Friends of Most Holy Trinity Parish,

The third annual Mercy Day in Action is Saturday, October 20, 2018. This event involves Catholics throughout the Archdiocese in acts of service. I would like to invite you to join us at Most Holy Trinity Church for an exciting upcoming project. In my time at Trinity it has been a blessing to carry out the Works of Mercy of our various outreach ministries, to meet our clients where they are, and to treat them with kindness, respect, and to honor their dignity. In her work with the poor, St. Teresa of Calcutta would say that she met Jesus in "the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor." I have found that to be true of our work as well.

We are undertaking a makeover of our Clothing Room and Food Pantry in the rectory basement to improve the work we are doing. Our goal is to re-arrange and re-organize the physical space to create a waiting area inside for our clients, and to improve the quality of the experience for our clients and volunteers. This project will entail sorting donations, moving all the donations out of the current space and into storage so that we can clean and paint the room and then assemble and install new shelving and storage and re-stock the room.

We invite you to join us on October 20 and/or October 27 to help us empty out and/or re-assemble our newly made-over space. Come any time on either or both days between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. You can also join us for Mass at 4:00 p.m. in the church.

If you would like to volunteer, please click on the links below to sign up online. If you would like to help but are unable to volunteer, you can make a donation to support this project. Above all, we ask for your prayers -- for without our faith and prayer we can do nothing. I thank you for your support on this journey.

More details about volunteering are on the website. Please contact our new Christian Service & Outreach Coordinator Rebecca Vogel at 313-965-4450 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with questions.
