Choose from a variety of peace and justice related items such as small peace poles, books, jewelry, fair trade items, etc. Don't miss the book for young girls and boys "Rebel Girls" at a great price. Also, we have peace bandannas (sorry, Rosie the dog is not for sale!). Support Swords into Plowshares while buying gifts or treating yourself (and your dog)! The Gallery will be OPEN  Wednesday, 12/6 noon to 5pm, Thursday, 12/7 noon to 5pmSaturday, 12/9 10am to 4pm (Shop For A Cause). The Gallery will be CLOSED Friday, 12/8 (Shop For A Cause setup)

Normally the Gallery is open every ThursdayFriday and Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.

 

Current & Upcoming 2017 Gallery Exhibits & Events

December 9 (Saturday) – Shop For A Cause Holiday Mart

10am to 3pm at the SIP Peace Center & Gallery. For your holiday shopping needs, consider attending this 6th annual event where locally produced goods will be for sale along with merchandise by craftspeople in emerging nations. Proceeds will benefit Detroit area non-profits.

A small sample of the participating groups and their wares include: Small World Shop with products produced by emerging nations' crafts people; Peoples World, jams, jellies and knit goods; The Gathering Place, baked goods; NSO Neighborhood Service Organization; META Michigan Peace Team; Book Foundation; Guatemala Committee with handcrafted items from Central America, Westside Mothers Jewelry and much more! The SIP Gift Shop will also be open where we have many items offering a variety of jewelry, accessories, peace and social justice related items.

This annual show of mainly Detroit area artists is always inspiring and an artistic venture into the talent we have in our City. Art4Detroit5 celebrates the grace and grit that is the City of Detroit and our people.

​Held in conjunction with the Hands4Detroit (a community service project of Detroit Renaissance District of the United Methodist Church), this invitational show gives voice to our diverse visions of the urban experience.
