Dear Neighbors,

The Ambassador Bridge Company has requested that the City of Detroit close a number of streets and an alley, including St Anne Street from W. Lafayette & Fort Street. This will expand their bridge plaza activities. Not only do the closures close remove access to our neighborhood even more from main streets, but this means truck idling will be closer to our homes, church, parks, and restaurants.

Please understand that these closures are part of a bigger plan to expand the plaza, ultimately resulting in the truck plaza being even closer to the neighborhood. The Bridge Company will never stop taking more property in the neighborhood, including our streets. This will impact our health, property values, noise pollution, and quality of life. We must protect our neighborhoods. City Council will take up the matter at the
Public Health and Safety Committee on
Monday, September 18
10:00 am
Coleman A. Young Municipal Center
Committee of the Whole Room

I know many of us can't make the hearings downtown, but please email the members of the committee below and call their offices.
