What are we doing?
We are proceeding with our class action suit against Marathon Petroleum Corporation, alleging that its operations create a nuisance which is harming your community.  This lawsuit won’t be the complete fix to the injustices that so many families have been living with, but it will hopefully help prove what so many have been trying to show . . . . that Marathon and its pollution has unreasonably interfered with the community’s use and enjoyment of property.

Our lawsuit currently covers the boundaries of:  I-75 to Schaefer and Fort Street to Bassett Street. Based on the information that was available to us at the time of filing, we believe this is an appropriate preliminary zone of impact but it is not necessarily limited as such. As the case facts, evidence and input from our experts evolve, we plan to revisit those boundaries and expand or modify them as appropriate and in accordance with the evidence. Our intent is to include all of the properties unreasonably impacted by Marathon’s emissions.  Please know that our ultimate goal is to protect as many people as possible depending on additional facts we may learn and the applicable laws.
