Foster Care Alumni of America is a professional organization built to support the voices of those who have aged out and are now considered to be great role models. We advocate for youth who are still in the system using our personal experiences and perspectives. This year we have dedicated our org to the fight to veto HB 4188, 4189, and 4190. These three bills would allow adoption and foster care service providers to refuse to place children based on their own personal or moral beliefs. Although this is very heart breaking for us, we can't begin to think what this will mean for thousands of young people who are denied a loving, safe home just because the agency does not believe in a potential foster parents lifestyle choices.

If you would like more information on what we can do as an organization and also as a way to network please attend our next upcoming meeting.

This area is centralized within the heart of Detroit with brand new equipment and has been recently renovated. For the little ones there is a splash pad available. There will be a number of activates and food available. Along with two yoga sessions to teach healthy ways of dealing with stress.
