Citizen Radio Patrol Workshop

The Grandmont Rosedale Community Security Task Force invites all neighborhood radio patrollers to attend their summer workshop, "“Citizen Radio Patrol: An Essential Part of Community Policing,” to be held on Monday, July 8 from 6-8 PM at the GRDC office, 19800 Grand River.

Through a partnership with the Detroit Police Department (DPD), radio patrol groups across the city have been supported in their crime prevention efforts since 1967. Radio patrols provide a unique opportunity for residents to deter crime on their own streets through active observation. Plan to attend this workshop to learn about this community-driven process that deters crime, increases collaboration between law-enforcement and citizens, and fosters a strong sense of community.

To ensure that we have enough materials for the training, please RSVP to Liz Wroughton, Community Security Assistant, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or 313-387-4732 ext. 109.
