Please join us for our April Greater Detroit Historic Preservation Coalition meeting at Preservation Detroit's offices.

The meeting will feature a presentation and book-signing by Nicholas P. Sinacori, author of "Horse Power, Men and Machines". Nicholas, who has spent the last 45 years doing research on the Village of Fairview, has uncovered the history of horse and automobile culture, area politics, organizational and church involvement of this historically important area of Detroit.

Please join us for this fact-filled presentation that launched the prominence of the automobile in the Detroit area. Light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Greater Detroit Historic Preservation Coalition is a collection of historic preservation-based, professional and civic organizations focused on Detroit and its regional neighbors. Its goal is to provide an open forum to address preservation issues along with creating a more coordinated effort between the various groups.

Since 1975 Preservation Detroit, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has been working to honor Detroit's rich architectural heritage. We are Detroit's oldest and largest architectural preservation organization and the first Detroit recipient of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Honor Award.
