Did you know? March is National Reading Month!
At Focus: HOPE, we aspire for the children in our Early Learning programs to become motivated, strong, and capable readers.
We want kids to read more. We want them to enjoy reading. We know that reading builds vocabulary, fluency, and background knowledge.
Creating ravenous, lifelong readers doesn't just happen -
it takes a village to help reach that goal.
We are looking for volunteers to take part in this month’s
“Reading to Build Readers” movement.
Will you join us as a virtual guest reader?
Step One: Select a book or article to read aloud to a class of children
ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Step Two: Record yourself or someone else reading the story. Please be creative, use the book, share the pictures, use voices.
Step Three: Submit your recording(s):
- Upload your recording here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/UqrheDejuWWfSTUOuYzo
- Please include in the subject line: Name of book; your name; email; and appropriate age group for story.
Thank you for reading with us!
