Turn Voices Into Votes:

A Great Volunteer Opportunity in the City

of Detroit

Are you looking for to be a part of something timely? Urgent? Something that will pay back dividends for years to come?

The Michigan Organizing Collaborative is looking for volunteers to engage voters and potential voters in low income communities in Detroit to increase voter turnout over the next three election cycles.

Voter engagement is key to harnessing resources for our communities and moving forward as a city. Empowerment through voting means a say in our government and more resources for our neighborhoods!

Volunteers will engage voters and register citizens over the phone, through faith based organizations, and local service agencies.

Volunteers are needed for, canvassing (face to face), phone banking, data entry, as well as other tasks (office help, food, etc.)

Volunteers can:

  • Get the best community organizing training they can receive.
  • Gain the satisfaction that they have increased voter participation in Detroit.
  • Be trained on how to use the Voter Activation Network database software.
  • Be given access to large networks of non-profits, churches, and agencies in Detroit.

Whether you can contribute a couple hours or much more you can make a difference!
